BE RESPECTED
Your aura becomes untouchable when you stop trying to prove your worth.
You already are the standard.
Your aura becomes untouchable when you stop trying to prove your worth.
You already are the standard.

It's not about how we feel. You were right to ask for respect ans so was she, but your family needed to understand it goes both ways. If she wanted respect then she needed to give it and vise versa. The best respect you could have given each other is talking to each other. Communication opens up so much and can save relationships. If you cannot talk to each other and don't discuss the things that bother you then things don't get better because you are bottling up the pain. Which is a terrible way go live. It doesn't hurt to explain to your child why he or she is being disciplined and reassure them that you love them. Nor does it hurt to explain to your spouse or better half why you are upset, what bothers you, and also reassure them you love them too. Relationships are hard because you have to work at them and yet they can be rewarding give time, work, patience, love, and respect. Teen years are difficult because as teens we are trying to find ourselves. Trying to under- -stand who we are and what we are meant to be. We are being pulled in every direction possible and full of insecurities. We are not quite adults nor are we children. We feel we are ready for responsibility and yet we don't fully understand what responsibility means. As teens we still need guidance, but like when we were kids. We want the information to make decisions on our own not have them made for us. Thus when parents won't explain things and just get angry we get hurt and angry. Why? Because we feel that our parents don't trust us with anything. We aren't told anything so we don't realize that they are afraid for us because they love us and already know where some of our choices will take us. This is something most parents aren't taught growing up and something that needs to be taught along the way. Without understanding and communication relationships fail.
