Let’s take notes for the LSAT together
My journey with the LSAT
🤍 I took the test on June and I didn’t prepare myself for it. The experience by itself was a challenge. I decided to take it again on January but realized I needed a new approach.
🤍 After feeling stressed, anxious and lost in the process, I decided I will take it again but study from scratch. I will start with the basic, the foundations. I will be sharing my notes and what I’ve learned here.
🤍 I believe with my whole heart that God put this dream and passion in my heart for a reason. I want to be an advocate for people and I need to prepare myself for that. Your dreams are the exact size they are supposed to be, and even if they are scary, they are worth it. Let’s do this 🤎📚#lsat #lsatprep #lsatstudying #studygram #prelaw
Starting LSAT preparation can feel overwhelming, but focusing on foundational concepts is crucial for building confidence and understanding. One essential aspect of LSAT logic is the relationship within arguments, particularly how premises support conclusions. Understanding these relationships—such as comparative, sufficiency, and necessity—can significantly improve your ability to analyze LSAT questions. In essence, an argument consists of at least one premise that backs a conclusion. The premise is a claim that supports another claim, while the conclusion is the statement receiving that support. Recognizing this structure helps in breaking down complex arguments and spotting weaknesses or strengths in reasoning—key skills for the exam. Moreover, the concept of 'persuasion' plays an important role in LSAT arguments. The relationship of support is the most critical persuasion mechanism, where one statement aims to increase the likelihood that another is true. Visualizing this as a world where supporting claims are true can help you grasp how conclusions become more likely based on premises. Keeping detailed and clear notes, as well as regularly reviewing definitions and relationships, will create a strong foundation in logical reasoning. Incorporate these practices into your study routine, and your preparation will be more structured and effective. Remember, persistence and consistent review of foundational principles can transform anxiety into mastery. Embrace the challenge, and share your insights—this community and your notes can be invaluable tools on your LSAT journey.
