ถ้าใครกำลังหา “วัดเขาสามสิบหาบ” ในกาญจนบุรีเพื่อแวะไหว้พระและเที่ยวเชิงประวัติศาสตร์ ที่นี่เป็นวัดที่เดินแล้วได้ฟีลวัดเก่าแบบสงบ ๆ ไม่วุ่นวาย เหมาะมากกับคนที่อยากมาทำบุญเงียบ ๆ และชอบดูร่องรอยสถาปัตยกรรมเก่าค่ะ สิ่งที่ฉันประทับใจเป็นพิเศษคือบรรยากาศรอบอุโบสถหลังเก่า บริเวณนี้จะเห็น “ใบเสมา” และ “เจดีย์รอบอุโบสถ” ที่ยังพอมีซุ้มเสมาค่อนข้างสมบูรณ์ให้ชม โดยเฉพาะซุ้มองค์กลางด้านหน้าอุโบสถที่เด่นสุด เวลาเดินวนรอบ ๆ จะเห็นเจดีย์บรรจุอัฐิทรงระฆังอยู่ด้วย ทำให้รับรู้ได้เลยว่าวัดนี้มีการใช้งานและสืบต่อกันมานานจริง ๆ อีกจุดที่หลายคนตั้งใจมาคือ “รอยพระพุทธบาทบนเขา” ซึ่งมีการเล่าว่ามีอายุกว่า 130 ปี (ช่วงสมัยรัชกาลที่ 5) แนะนำให้ใส่รองเท้าที่เดินสบาย ๆ และพกน้ำดื่มติดตัว เพราะต้องเดินขึ้นลงเล็กน้อย โดยรวมไม่ได้โหด แต่ถ้ามาช่วงแดดจัดอาจเหนื่อยง่ายค่ะ ฉันเลือกไปช่วงเช้า อากาศยังไม่ร้อนมากและถ่ายรูปสวยด้วย เรื่องเล่าประจำถิ่นที่ทำให้ชื่อ “เขาสามสิบหาบ” น่าสนใจคือ ตำนานการอพยพหนีภัยสงครามของผู้คนที่เคยอยู่บนเส้นทางเดินทัพไทย-พม่า แล้วมาตั้งถิ่นฐานแถวภูเขาเล็ก ๆ แห่งนี้ พร้อมทองคำที่นับรวมได้ราว 30 หาบ จนกลายเป็นชื่อบ้านนามเมือง ฟังแล้วทำให้การเดินชมวัดมีมิติขึ้น เหมือนได้เชื่อมเรื่องราวกับสถานที่จริง ทิปเล็ก ๆ สำหรับคนจะไป: ลองเผื่อเวลาเดินดูรายละเอียดรอบอุโบสถเก่าให้ครบ แล้วค่อยขึ้นไปจุดรอยพระพุทธบาท จะได้ไม่รีบเกินไป และถ้าตั้งใจไปทำบุญ แนะนำเตรียมชุดสุภาพไว้ เพราะเป็นวัดที่มีจุดศักดิ์สิทธิ์หลายจุดค่ะ โดยรวม “วัดเขาสามสิบหาบ” เป็นอีกวัดในกาญจนบุรีที่เหมาะทั้งสายทำบุญ สายเที่ยววัด และสายชอบเรื่องเล่าเก่าแก่ ใครผ่านเส้นทางนี้ลองแวะมาสักครั้ง แล้วจะเข้าใจว่าทำไมวัดนี้ถึงมีเสน่ห์แบบเงียบ ๆ ค่ะ
