Things I’m prioritizing third Trimester Edition

My first pregnancy vs my 5th have looked VERY different for the things I’m prioritizing.

My first pregnancy my two biggest priorities were most like 1: gaining as little weight as possible 2: not getting stretch marks.

Now on my 5th pregnancy, with two toddlers, my two biggest prioritizes are 1: preparing my mind and body for birth 2: preparing myself to be a more patient, kind, and loving mother to three children.

It’s funny how time changes your priorities, and how much you grow and learn the longer you are a mom.

I have so many stretch marks, lots of weight gain, and less time for myself then ever before her I’m happier then I was 5 years ago and so much better prepared to be a mom again and how I want my life to look after baby arrives.

Motherhood has changed me so much but I’ve also learned that with each child, and with each stage of life, there is so much unpredictability… which means prioritizing things like eating well, exercising, and taking care of my physical health by getting out in the sun and fresh air as much as possible are so important.

Baby will arrive any day, until then, the boys and I will be trying to pass time in this amazing February florida weather.

In the third trimester, it's essential to prioritize self-care, which includes being active outdoors, engaging in nourishing meals, and maintaining an exercise routine that incorporates stretching. Mindfulness practices, such as meditation and reflective prayer, can serve not only as a preparation for birth but also as critical coping strategies in motherhood. Cultivating patience and kindness is paramount, especially while managing the excitement and unpredictability that comes with welcoming a new child into the family. Whether it’s enjoying warm February days outdoors with my toddlers or focusing on healthy nutrition, these choices reflect my growth as a mother. Each stage of motherhood brings new lessons, and being present with my children has become one of my most cherished priorities.
