Oh my goodness, you guys! If you're planning a trip to Nashville, Tennessee, you absolutely have to put the Gaylord Opryland Resort on your must-see list. I just visited and I'm still buzzing from the experience! It's not just a hotel; it's like stepping into another world, all under one magnificent glass ceiling. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the sheer scale and beauty of the place. The indoor gardens are truly a marvel. Imagine walking through a vibrant arboretum with lush greenery, towering palm trees, and fragrant flowers, all perfectly maintained year-round. It's so expansive you almost forget you're inside! I spent ages just wandering, soaking in the serene atmosphere and admiring the different themed areas. There are elegant ornate fountains everywhere, creating a soothing backdrop with their gentle splashing sounds. One of the absolute highlights for me was exploring the famous Delta Atrium. It's home to an actual indoor river! You can even take a relaxing riverboat tour that glides through the atrium, giving you a unique perspective of the resort's stunning architecture, complete with charming brick buildings and quaint bridges. Our guide shared some fun facts about the resort, which made the ride even more enjoyable. It’s a perfect way to see a lot of the resort without getting tired feet, especially if you're trying to escape the Nashville heat or rain. And let's talk about the waterfalls! The Cascades atrium waterfall is breathtaking. There are several of them throughout the resort, cascading down into beautiful ponds surrounded by vibrant tropical plants. I loved finding little nooks where I could just sit and listen to the water. Some of the resort room balconies even offer incredible views directly overlooking these natural wonders, making for a truly immersive experience. After all that exploring, I was definitely ready for a bite. We stumbled upon STAX Restaurant within the resort, and it was a great choice. I had a fantastic burger and fries, and it really hit the spot. There are so many dining options, but it's nice to find a casual place that still feels special.
