Taskeen Wowie offered a fascinating journey through its opening of mandarin, aldehydes, and orange transitioning to a warm heart of rum, cinnamon, and orris. Initially, the citrus notes reminded me of vitamin chewables, which might deter some, but patience rewarded with a rich, sweet gourmand drydown reminiscent of haute patisserie. Its medium strength and lasting 6 to 7 hours make it suitable for casual yet sophisticated wear, though I wouldn't recommend a blind buy unless you appreciate adventurous gourmand blends. Oud Beyond The Wall was truly a standout with its intriguing mix of cardamom, fig, clary sage, and apple notes at the top, mellowing into sandalwood and orris, and settling on a base of tonka bean, ambergris, and musk. What surprised me was how the sage component, often overpowering in unisex fragrances, was harmoniously balanced, adding a subtle earthiness without leaning too masculine. With strong longevity of 8 to 10 hours, this scent embodies an elegant and mysterious aura fitting for evening wear. All three fragrances share a commitment to complexity and artistry, inviting wearers to savor their evolution over time. While none are deemed 'blind-buy safe' due to their bold profiles, they reward those who enjoy exploring layered scents with personality.
