... Read moreSix years. Six long, agonizing years since our world shattered. April 5, 2019, was the day my beloved son, Aaron Shane Key, was brutally murdered. And for six years, we, his family, have been living a nightmare, desperate for answers, for accountability, for justice that seems to slip further away with each passing day. It’s hard to put into words the pain of losing a child, especially knowing that his killer walks free. Every day is a struggle to simply breathe, to function, while the authorities in the 13th Judicial District of Tennessee seem to have forgotten Aaron. We’ve reached out repeatedly, pleaded for a thorough investigation, but our calls often meet with silence or vague assurances that lead nowhere. It feels like Aaron's case has been pushed aside, deemed unimportant, and that breaks my heart beyond measure. Aaron was more than just a name on a police report. He was my child, full of life, with dreams and a future that was cruelly stolen from him. He deserved so much more. Our family carries this heavy burden, constantly wondering what happened, who is responsible, and why no one is being held accountable. The injustice is a wound that refuses to heal. We’ve done everything we can think of – organizing awareness efforts, speaking with local community members, and tirelessly trying to keep Aaron’s memory alive. We just want someone to pay attention. We want someone to care enough to re-examine the evidence, to interview witnesses again, to open new leads. This isn't just about revenge; it's about peace, about ensuring no other family has to endure this endless torment. I truly believe that with enough community support, we can make a difference. If you have any information, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem, please come forward. Contact the local authorities in the 13th Judicial District of Tennessee. Even sharing Aaron’s story, this post, can help. Let's make sure '6 YEARS' doesn't turn into seven, eight, or more without justice. Let's show them that Aaron Shane Key's life mattered, and that his family will never give up fighting for him. Please, help us get justice for Aaron.
