Wedding Anniversary 🤍 + Our story 😁

Story time of how God moved in my life and how no matter what anyone says to me at this point, I could NEVER deny Him!

I met this man when I was 16 years old, he was 19 going on 20. He was selling stuff at a mall kiosk and I was just a highschool student negative $50 that day because I misplaced my cash LOL (Im far more responsible now). He tried to sell me something to which I declined, and gave me his number on a receipt slip. Classy 😂

Long story short, we texted, got to know each other and my teenage self LOVED HIM!!! He was SO smart and funny. But then life happened, I was too young, he had things to figure out. Without too much explanation, we ceased to exist. Nothing ever happened. We stopped talking shortly after.

It would be 11 years later that we reconnected after full on ghosting since back then. I had gone through the ringer, so many failed relationships, never being fully happy, always feeling like I had already met the person I was meant to be with but couldn’t figure out who it was. And then we met again. And I KNEW, it was him.

I didn’t delay. God knows everything I did to obey His guidance even though God was not in my mind back then, I knew viscerally that this was my husband and not acting on it would be going against something powerful, a window of opportunity that would never reopen.

My marriage is a testimony of God’s work in our lives. We married a year later and today is our 1st wedding anniversary 💒

We eloped at the courthouse, nothing fancy just us and family. And it was one of the best days of my entire life. I can’t help but look back and see all the ways in which God has shown up in my life even though I didn’t recognize it.

Your love is out there, trust and believe 🤍

Meeting a soulmate at a young age and then reconnecting after many years shows the power of destiny and faith working hand in hand. Many couples find that their relationship stories involve unexpected twists, periods of growth, and moments of waiting, which ultimately strengthen their bond. Eloping at the courthouse may not be the traditional wedding many envision, but it can offer an intimate and meaningful experience, focusing solely on the couple and their closest family. Courthouse weddings are becoming increasingly popular for their simplicity, lower cost, and the heartfelt memories they create without the pressures that sometimes accompany large ceremonies. This story reminds us that love often unfolds in God’s perfect timing. For those feeling uncertain about their romantic future, it’s important to stay hopeful and open to new possibilities. Trusting in a higher plan can bring peace and clarity, particularly when life’s challenges and previous heartbreaks might have left us disheartened. Moreover, sharing personal love stories with faith elements resonates with many, providing encouragement and a sense of community among believers and romantics alike. Using hashtags like #weddinganniversary, #elopement, #weddinginspo, #lovestory, and #godisgood helps connect with others seeking inspiration, whether they are planning their own weddings or looking for stories of hope and commitment. For those planning their special day, whether large or small, it’s valuable to remember that what truly matters is the love celebrated and the promises made. Each couple’s journey is beautiful and meaningful in its own way, enriched by the faith, perseverance, and authentic connections they build together.
