Weekend Gateaway meets Romantic Mount Dora 📍
One of my favorite things about marriage is taking my husband to places that he has never been to and he could never imagine would be so wonderful. This time we stayed in Eustis FL which is 10 minutes from Mount Dora and I have to say that Eustis is just as charming - the small historic town vibe, lake views, scenery everywhere- what a treat.
Highly recommend Mount Dora for the romantic vibes, walkable historic downtown and water views everywhere.
Until next time 🌴 🫶🏼
Visiting Mount Dora and Eustis offers more than just picturesque views—it’s an invitation to slow down and savor moments together. From my own experience, the best way to soak in Mount Dora’s charm is to wander its historic downtown where quaint shops and cozy cafes create an intimate atmosphere. The waterfront parks and marinas invite couples for leisurely strolls along the lake, especially beautiful at sunset. Eustis, often overshadowed by its neighbor, is a hidden gem with a welcoming small-town feel and plenty of outdoor activities. We enjoyed lakeside picnics and discovered local art galleries that reflect the area's rich cultural vibe. The hospitality here made our stay feel personalized and warm, enhancing the romantic getaway. For couples looking to add a touch of adventure, there are boating and fishing opportunities on the nearby lakes. Breakfast at local diners with freshly brewed coffee set the tone for relaxed days. In my opinion, the combination of two historic towns within a short drive allows for varied experiences without the stress of long travel. Bringing my husband to such serene and scenic places strengthens our bond in ways that everyday routines can’t. Whether you’re celebrating love, a milestone, or simply wanting to escape the hustle, Mount Dora and Eustis together offer an ideal weekend retreat that blends romance, nature, and history beautifully.
