Sage meat loaf
I love cooking but I don’t want to blog about it lol. This is my most requested meal by my kids. Lots of ingredients but quite easy to make. If you don’t have loaf pans you can form loafs on a cookie sheet. Mashed potatoes and green beans round out the meal. I hope you enjoy this comfort food!💛#fallfood #fallvibes🍂 #meatloaf #yummy #recipes
Meatloaf is traditionally enjoyed as a home-cooked favorite, and adding sage gives it a unique flavor profile that balances perfectly with the savory elements of the dish. To prepare your sage meat loaf, start by sautéing garlic and onions in butter to create a fragrant base. Combine lean ground beef and sage sausage for a delectable meat mixture, along with fresh herbs such as basil and parsley. Be sure to incorporate ingredients like breadcrumbs, eggs, and milk to achieve the ideal consistency, which ensures a moist and flavorful result. Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare your loaf pans by greasing them lightly. Fill the pans with your combined ingredients, but remember not to overmix to avoid dense texture. Bake for approximately 40 minutes, then apply a light layer of ketchup on top to enhance the flavor before raising the oven temperature to 400°F for an additional 10 minutes. This creates a perfect crust and locks in moisture. Serve alongside creamy mashed potatoes and fresh green beans to make it a wholesome and delightful family meal. This versatile dish is great for gatherings, meal prep, or even leftover sandwiches the next day. Explore various twists by incorporating your favorite ingredients or spices, making it customizable for your taste. Perfect for chilly evenings or any time you crave a comforting dish, sage meat loaf is assuredly a treat everyone will appreciate.
