For my last playthrough, I poured so much love into bringing my Dalish rogue, Lanavera Lavellan, to life. I wanted her to be both fierce and a little bit mischievous, always with a clever quip ready. Choosing the Dalish background felt right for her; it added an extra layer of tension and understanding to the conflict with the Chantry and the Elder One. I imagined her as someone who values her heritage deeply but is pragmatic enough to understand the greater threat. Her rogue class isn't just for combat; it defines her personality too. She's observant, quick-witted, and prefers to handle problems with finesse rather than brute force. Stealth and precision are her allies, especially when it comes to navigating the complex political landscape of Orlais and Ferelden. As for that certain Commander… yes, I'm talking about Cullen! Their dynamic just clicked for me. I headcanon Lanavera as being incredibly drawn to his steadfast nature and his journey of overcoming his own past. She sees beyond his gruff exterior to the genuinely good man beneath, and their flirtations are always a highlight of my gameplay! What truly makes Lanavera's story rich for me are her relationships. Her bond with Dorian is something I cherish. I see them as inseparable, sharing witty banter, deep philosophical discussions late into the night, and always having each other's backs. They’re the kind of best friends who totally get each other, even when the world is falling apart. And my headcanon about her working alongside Leliana? It just felt right. Lanavera, with her sharp instincts and knack for gathering secrets, would be an invaluable asset to the Left Hand. She'd be Leliana's eyes and ears in places others couldn't reach, forming a quiet, effective partnership that helps guide the Inquisition from the shadows. Playing as Lanavera has offered such a different perspective on Dragon Age Inquisition. Every decision feels weighted, every conversation a chance to flesh out her character further. Whether she's making a tough call at the war table, charming her way through a noble gathering, or facing down a demon, I'm always thinking, 'What would Vera do?' It's more than just a game; it's an immersive storytelling experience where I get to shape a hero. If you've ever thought about creating your own unique Inquisitor, I highly recommend diving deep into their backstory and relationships – it makes the whole journey so much more rewarding. What kind of Inquisitor have you created?
