This year was my first valentines alone in 4 years, definitely hard and weird for me but I got myself, my pup, sunsets, pretty cars, and learning to be me on my own 🩷💅

... Read moreValentine's Day can feel a little heavy when you find yourself celebrating solo, especially if it's a new experience. I totally get it. After years of sharing the day, my first Valentine's Day alone was definitely a unique challenge. But you know what? It quickly turned into an incredible opportunity to truly 'be my own valentine' and 'valentine myself' in ways I never expected. It's not about ignoring the day, but redefining it. Instead of focusing on what might be missing, I decided to pour all that love into myself. It was a journey of rediscovering what brings me joy and peace, independent of anyone else. For some, Valentine's Day is about grand gestures, but for me this year, it became about savoring the small, often overlooked, moments. One of the biggest joys was appreciating the simple things. Like admiring the world around me – just like chasing those vibrant sunsets that paint the sky in *orange, pink, and purple*. There's something so calming and majestic about watching nature's masterpiece unfold. And yes, I even took time to appreciate the beauty of *classic cars*, finding unexpected delight in their sleek designs, whether it was a shiny black classic car or a cool light blue classic car parked under the night sky. It's amazing how much beauty you notice when you're just present. My furry companion was, of course, a huge part of my celebration. My wet, fluffy dog with its cheerful pink leash brought so much unconditional love and laughter. Sometimes, a wagging tail is all the company you need! Their presence reminds you that love comes in many forms, and the bond with a pet is truly special. Beyond the practical, I also thought about how to make the day feel special. Imagine transforming your space, perhaps with some lovely decor similar to a *gold arch decorated with pink and white flowers*, creating that 'Happy Valentine's Day' vibe just for yourself. Or dressing up in something that makes you feel good, like a comfortable *cream top and black vest*, just because you deserve to feel good. Even a simple act like finding a cozy spot, maybe a *blue velvet seat*, to relax and smile, as if you're smiling at the camera for your own personal photoshoot of contentment. It’s about creating a personal sanctuary and celebrating your own peace. So, if you're navigating a solo Valentine's Day, remember it's a perfect chance to treat yourself. Indulge in your favorite food, watch that movie you love, take a long walk, or simply enjoy a quiet evening journaling your thoughts. It's about recognizing your worth and showering yourself with the affection you truly deserve. Being your own valentine isn't just for one day; it's a beautiful practice for life. You absolutely got this!
