I had an entirely different post scheduled for today, but when I was made aware of this this morning, I knew I had to immediately take part in this challenge.
@dan.devours.words and @kieranjanebooks are running a fundraising challenge over on Instagram (until THIS Friday, 1 August) to help bring formula to G@za. For every bookstagrammer who posts a white and/or cream book stack, they will donate $15 to the G@za Formula Fund + $6 to the PCRF.
If you didn't know, G@za is currently dealing with famine, which the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification defines as a situation in which at least one in five households has an extreme lack of food and face st@rvation and destitution, resulting in extremely critical levels of acute malnutriti0n and de@th. This classification (IPC Phase 5) is the HIGHEST phase of the IPC Acute Food Insecurity scale, and is attributed when an area has at least 20% of households facing an extreme lack of food, at least 30% of children suffering from acute malnutriti0n, and two people for every 10,000 dy1ng each day due to outright st@rvation or to the interaction of malnutriti0n and disease.
Even if you can't donate yourself, this is a super easy challenge to do (it doesn't have to be fancy), and it is SO worth it. Please, if anything, think of the babies—think of the parents whose hearts are breaking seeing their children and loved ones suffer.

The Gaza Strip is currently suffering from a severe famine classified as IPC Phase 5, the highest level indicating extreme food insecurity. At least one in five households faces an extreme lack of food, with acute malnutrition affecting over 30% of children, and many people dying daily due to starvation and related diseases. This alarming situation threatens the health and survival of the most vulnerable, especially babies and young children who rely heavily on formula for proper nutrition. To combat this crisis, @dan.devours.words and @kieranjanebooks initiated the #bookstackforformula challenge on Instagram. For every white or cream-colored book stack shared by bookstagrammers by the specified deadline, donations will be made to provide formula and medical care through the Gaza Formula Fund and the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF).
