Low C-rate = Battery quality alarm

Many people who choose to buy a battery only look at the capacity (Ah or kWh) and think that the more the better, the better, but the C-rate is actually equally important because it is the value that tells how fast the battery can "power" compared to the available capacity.

Batteries with low C-rates often reflect low quality cells and are followed by many hidden problems.

1. Instant pressure drop when high load.

Low C-rate batteries supply current slowly. When you encounter a heavy load, such as an inverter or an electric motor, the system has a problem, a power drop, a blackout, and the battery is still full.

2. The energy actually used is less than seen.

Although the capacity seems large, the ability to "pull out the light" is lower, causing the system to stumble, such as the water pump to rotate unevenly, or the UPS cannot supply continuous power.

3. Fast heat accumulation

Overforcing of low C-rate batteries causes unusually high heat, leads to batting, rapid degeneration, and in bad cases can reach a fire or explosion.

4. The service life is shorter than it should be.

Of the 6,000 cycles that should be used, there may only be 1,000-2,000 cycles. Because poor quality cells do not withstand heavy power supply, the capital paid becomes redundant in a short time.

The inverter or BMS will often warn of Overcurrent / Low Voltage when the battery is on fire, causing the system to become unstable and unusable.
