✨Mid-Wednesday Workout ✨
happy wednesday! 🥳 after a long break from the holiday and snow days i was able to get back in the gym today ☃️ it was a simple 30 minute lower body workout, let me tell you what i did:
squats 🏋️♀️ start with your feet shoulder-width apart, lower your body by bending your knees and pushing your hips back
lunges 🤸♀️ take a step forward with one foot and lower your body until both knees are bent at a 90-degree angle
deadlifts💪 hold a barbell or dumbbells in front of your thighs, hinge at your hips, and lower the weights towards the ground while keeping your back straight
leg press🦶use a leg press machine to push a weighted platform away from you using your legs
calf raises🦵stand on a flat surface, lift your heels off the ground by pushing through your toes, and then lower them back down
Wednesday workouts are a great way to break up the week and refocus your fitness goals. Engaging in lower body exercises not only strengthens the legs but also enhances overall stability and muscle coordination. Incorporating a range of movements allows for a balanced workout. Squats improve leg strength, lunges enhance balance, and deadlifts contribute to back and core strength. Leg presses are excellent for focusing on quad development, while calf raises round out the workout by targeting the lower leg muscles. For those new to these exercises, start with lighter weights and focus on mastering form to prevent injury and maximize effectiveness. Consider adding variety each week by mixing in new exercises or adjusting the weight to keep challenging your body. Remember, consistency is key to achieving fitness goals! Utilizing workout tracking apps or journals can help maintain motivation and monitor progress. Overall, a mid-week lower body session is not only beneficial for physical health but can also boost mood and relieve stress!
