RESURRECTION SUNDAY

“But they found the stone rolled away from the tomb. Then they went in and did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. And it happened, as they were greatly perplexed about this, that behold, two men stood by them in shining garments. Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen!” Luke 24:2-6 #heisrisen

Today concludes Holy Week but God’s work is never done. He sent His one and only Son to die a gruesome death on a cross, bore the sin of you and me and died the death we deserved, taking it upon Himself so that we may have a chance to spend eternity with Him in Heaven. There is no greater love than this. God’s mercy is never-ending and His love overflows. As John 15:13 says “Greater love has no one than this, to lay down his life for his friends.” Thank you, Lord for your undying love for us. I can’t wait to hug You, Jesus.🕊️

... Read moreResurrection Sunday, also known as Easter Sunday, commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, a foundational doctrine of Christianity. This event is celebrated by millions worldwide, symbolizing hope and renewal. The resurrection signifies victory over sin and death, as it is stated in 1 Corinthians 15:55-57, which proclaims, "Death is swallowed up in victory. O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?" This important day encourages Christians to reflect on the significance of Christ's resurrection and the assurance of their own eternal life through faith in Him. Traditionally, many churches hold services filled with praise, worship, and a message of hope, while families often gather for special meals and festivities. Delicious Easter recipes, including ham, lamb, and various desserts, are commonly prepared, bringing together loved ones to celebrate the day. Additionally, Easter egg hunts are popular, symbolizing new life and the joy of the season. In many cultures, the day is marked by special traditions, such as wearing new clothes, attending sunrise services, and decorating eggs to represent the empty tomb. Each element serves as a reminder of Christ’s victory and the importance of spiritual renewal in believers' lives. As you celebrate this Resurrection Sunday, take a moment to reflect on the lessons of love, sacrifice, and hope that it brings, and share the joy of this message with others in your community.
