Dealing w/ Endo Pain 🎗️
These are some things I implement in my daily life to try and make my endometriosis pain more bearable. I try to always wear comf/ loose clothes and usually always have my TENS unit with me. Recently I got this #myobi belt that has a TENS unit, heating function and red light therapy all in one. It was $150 but I think it’s well worth it. Level 1 on the TENS setting was as strong as level 10 on my normal one so it kicks butt. I also spend lots of time with my dog and try to eat healthy and nutritious food since food really is medicine and can make or break my pain for the day. Compression socks also help somewhat with the leg/ sciatica pain I get from my pelvic floor dysfunction. I also love my Warmies animals, they’re not only cute but are very comforting. And I have recently been striving to take naps on the weekends since literally EVERYTHING makes me tired. Some other things I do that I didn’t have photos of are my pelvic floor exercises that I do (almost) nightly, Epsom salt baths, and I recently purchased a cane to help me walk on my really bad days. The pain in my legs and hips can become so bad that it makes it hard for me to walk so it was a difficult but necessary purchase. I haven’t received it yet but I’ll show you when I do! I pruchased it from Fashionable Canes and it has pretty pink seashells printed on it! #endometriosis #endometriosisawareness #caneuse #disability #endometriosisproblems #endowarrior #chronicillness #chronicillnesscommunity
Living with endometriosis can be challenging, but there are numerous ways to enhance your daily comfort and well-being. First, consider using heat therapy such as heating pads or warm baths, which can provide relief from painful cramping. Nutrition plays a vital role in managing symptoms; incorporating anti-inflammatory foods like leafy greens, fatty fish, and nuts into your diet can help reduce pain. Staying hydrated is equally important, as dehydration can worsen symptoms. Alongside dietary changes, mind-body practices like yoga, meditation, and even gentle exercise can contribute to pain management. These activities can promote relaxation, reduce stress levels, and improve overall quality of life. Consulting with a healthcare provider to find a suitable pain management plan tailored to your needs is crucial. Remember to listen to your body and prioritize self-care in your daily routine. With the right strategies, managing endometriosis pain becomes more achievable.
