This food just hits different
First night in Greece.
Anogi was an amazing dinner choice recommendation from our host. Located just a few minutes from the city center of Imerovigli.
The grilled chicken souvlaki can’t be missed. It was so good. Along with their Tzatziki and homemade bread. Highly recommend.

During my visit to Santorini, trying local dishes was a highlight of the trip. One standout meal was at Anogi, a restaurant that truly lives up to its reputation. The grilled chicken souvlaki there is not just food—it's an experience. Tender, juicy chicken pieces marinated with traditional Greek herbs and spices were grilled to perfection, delivering smoky flavors that linger pleasantly. What makes this dish so special is how it pairs with the creamy Tzatziki sauce—a refreshing blend of yogurt, cucumber, garlic, and fresh dill. Dipping the souvlaki into this tangy sauce creates a balance of savory and cool textures that complement each other beautifully. The homemade bread served alongside is also worth mentioning; its soft crumb and slightly crispy crust make it perfect for soaking up any sauces. Anogi’s setting a few minutes away from Imerovigli’s bustling center creates a cozy atmosphere that’s ideal for winding down after a day of exploring. From my personal experience, the friendly service and the authentic ambiance enhanced the overall meal. If you find yourself in Santorini, especially near Imerovigli, this spot is a must-visit for anyone looking to dive into genuine Greek cuisine. It’s a perfect introduction to Greek gastronomy, especially if you appreciate simple but flavorful dishes.
