My actual biggest fear that I never share 😅
I always have to work extra hard against my brain to really ask myself if I need something or if it’s just being marketed well. 🤔
Questions I ask myself:
1. Did I think about this product or see it as a need before I saw/heard about it?
2. Is it the people using it/how their home or lifestyle looks that makes me want the product versus it’s intended purpose.
3. Would I buy another one/need another if it ended up breaking?
Marketing today is soooo smart that it’s scary! We buy so many things we don’t need or use! And that is one of my worst fears for myself and others 😰

In today's world, marketing strategies are more sophisticated than ever, leading us to purchase items that may not truly serve a purpose in our lives. This phenomenon, known as overconsumption, not only impacts our wallets but also contributes to environmental issues and clutter in our homes. As individuals, we must develop critical thinking skills to scrutinize our buying habits. Some practical strategies include creating a list of needs versus wants, implementing a waiting period before making any purchases, and regularly decluttering spaces to better identify what is genuinely needed. By fostering these habits, we contribute to a culture of underconsumption, which encourages mindful living and sustainability. Embracing vulnerability in this context means acknowledging our fears and actively working against societal pressures to buy more. Remember, less can truly be more, leading to a more fulfilling and organized life.
