Making planter boxes from scratch w/ wood pallets🌱
I really wanted to start a garden in my backyard this year but did NOT want to pay around $50 just for 1 planter box. We didn’t have the budget for them, but I knew I would need raised planters if I wanted anything to actually grow.
We had a bunch of leftover wood pallets from previous outdoor projects, but I also didn’t want to have to buy a bunch of tools or do a lot of cutting & mailing to make the planter boxes work.
So because of my laziness 😂 I came up with the grand idea to just put them on top of one another! Because of how these wood pallets are they automatically gave me 6 separate spaces where I could grow plants. It was amazing and my little garden is already thriving in them 🌱
There are so many things we usually already have that we can use for items we want. Making diy items from scratch is my favorite thing! It makes me feel like I’m in my creative and sustainably zone and I feel so accomplished after I’m able to finish a project like this without spending any money or making trips to the store.
