A hidden smile behind all the hurt inside.

I love when my gut feelings are real and I’m not going crazy. All the things I thought were real. Lieing and sneaking around, I knew I knew all along. And it’s really really sad. Such a wonderful person, what a shame. I’m not the bad guy, it’s the drugs and the high that is chased is what makes a person out to be who they really aren’t. And it’s sad so sad, it breaks my heart. To see good people go down that nasty road, I have been there and I have lived that life. And that life just wasn’t ment for me. All the lies u conger up in ur mind to make u believe that somone is a bad person to feed ur own ego. To make u feel

Good for getting high. Nothing is good about sticking a glass pipe up to u mouth and sucking it. Nothing comes out of it, only bad gugu, u loose ur job,ur family and everything u have worked so hard to achieve in ur life thrown down the drain, and for what a high that only last so long. And then u out searching for more and more to achieve that high u once had. But u have already gone to far. It’s to hard to get that once good feeling back, and when u finally to decide to put it down, there is no one there for u. U have done chase all those who loved and cared about u away, because of the endless fighting and lieing, when all u had to do is be honest not with them but to urself, ur a addict and u don’t know how to put it down. And instead of asking for help because u have to much pride and u feel guilty for all the kayous u have caused, all the hurt and betrayal, it’s like cheating and lieing, they just don’t work. For those who are or have gone through this like and share, to raise awareness, to let those who need help get help.

... Read moreAddiction is a complex and deeply personal struggle that affects not only the individual but everyone around them. From my experience and the stories I've heard, the hardest part is acknowledging the addiction honestly—not just to others, but to yourself. Denial often keeps people trapped in a cycle of hiding and lying, which only fuels more pain and isolation. One of the most challenging aspects is the craving for the elusive 'high'—a fleeting feeling that quickly fades, pushing the person to seek more and more in an attempt to feel alive again. Unfortunately, chasing this high often leads to losing everything truly valuable: trust, relationships, and self-respect. In my journey, I realized that pride and guilt can prevent people from reaching out for help. It’s common to feel too ashamed or unworthy of support, but recovery becomes possible when one accepts help and embraces honesty. Support systems, whether through friends, family, or professional counseling, are critical pillars that can help rebuild a shattered life. It’s important for those affected to remember that addiction doesn’t define who they are at their core. Behind the hurt, hurtful actions, and the hidden smile lies a person who deserves compassion and a chance to heal. Sharing these stories can raise awareness and encourage others who are struggling to seek the support they need. There is hope beyond addiction, but taking that first step towards honesty with oneself and others is essential to recovery.

A hidden piece of old NYC in the middle of NoHo
I finally visited the Merchant's House Museum and it completely surprised me. From the outside, it looks like any other brownstone — but inside, it’s like stepping into 1830s NYC. Every room is perfectly preserved: the furniture, portraits, even the little personal items the family left behin
