Nice to Meet you, I’m Lizzy!
Hi there!! I’m new to Lemon 8, so here are a few things about me!
• I am 22 yers old!
—> I love coffee, I have a 1 year old puppy named, Blue, and I am currently in Grad School!
• I am from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania!
—> I was born and raised in Philly my entire life until I moved out to college to a small town in Southwestern, PA. I love the city and will bring lots of my friends home from school to give them a little taste of the city life as well! I do miss living in the city when I’m up at school, but I would have never grown the way that I did if I did not move out.
• I have a dog named, Blue!
—> I got Blue in September of 2023 and he is easily the best thing that has happened to and for me. He turned 1 in June and is very well behaved. His breed is a Bernedoodle: half bernese mountain dog & half poodle. He is hyperallergenic which means he does not shed. He is a miniature so he is only 25 pounds!
• I was on a collegiate Track & Field Team!
—> I recently just finished up with Track in the Spring. I was on the team my entire undergrad career and a semester of my graduate career. I was a thrower on the team! I threw Shot Put, Hammer, & Weight Throw. It had its ups and downs, but being on the team that I was on taught me a lot and helped me grow immensely!
• I love Photography
—> I have been taking pictures for as long as I can remember. Since I was about 7 years old I have worked my way up to bigger and better cameras. I was my team’s photographer for a bit, and now do photoshoots of any kind.
• I graduated!
—> I graduated in December 2023 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. I am now currently in Grad school for my Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology! I will officially be done in December 2025!

Stepping onto Lemon8 feels like a fresh start, a new space to share more of the stories that make me, me! Beyond just the bullet points, there's so much more to explore about my world, and I'm excited to dive deeper with you all. Being a dog mom to Blue has truly been one of the most heartwarming adventures. He’s more than just a pet; he’s my little shadow, my furry alarm clock, and often, my best study buddy during those late-night grad school sessions. Waking up to his goofy smile and wagging tail instantly brightens my day, even before my first cup of coffee. Bernedoodles are such a unique blend of playful and affectionate, and Blue perfectly embodies that. He keeps me active with his boundless energy, and honestly, the non-shedding part is a huge bonus! I've learned so much about patience and unconditional love from him. My journey through grad school for Speech Language Pathology has been incredibly demanding but equally rewarding. It's a field I'm deeply passionate about, focusing on helping people find their voice and connect better with the world. There are days filled with complex coursework and clinical observations, pushing me to my limits, but every breakthrough, every small victory in a session, reminds me why I chose this path. Balancing my studies with life, especially with a lively puppy, requires serious time management, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. The dream of making a real difference in people's lives keeps me going strong until I officially wrap up in December 2025. Growing up in Philadelphia shaped so much of who I am. The vibrant energy, the rich history, and the unmistakable Philly spirit are ingrained in me. Even though I moved away for college, a piece of my heart always stays in the city of brotherly love. I often miss the bustling streets, the incredible food scene, and the distinct neighborhoods, each with its own character. Bringing friends back home from school always felt like giving them a glimpse into my roots, a taste of that unique urban charm. It taught me the value of community and having a strong sense of belonging, no matter where life takes you. Photography isn't just a hobby for me; it's a way of seeing the world. From my first basic camera to the advanced gear I use now, capturing moments has always been my passion. There’s a magic in freezing a fleeting expression, a breathtaking landscape, or the raw emotion of a sporting event. I love experimenting with light and composition, turning everyday scenes into something special. It's a creative outlet that allows me to tell stories without words, and I'm always looking for new perspectives and inspiring subjects. If you're into photography too, I'd love to hear your favorite tips or gear! And speaking of stories, my time on the collegiate Track & Field team was a defining chapter. As a thrower, I learned invaluable lessons about discipline, perseverance, and mental toughness. There were intense training sessions, frustrating plateaus, and exhilarating personal bests. It taught me how to push past perceived limits, how to be a part of a team, and how to bounce back from setbacks stronger than before. That experience truly helped me grow, not just as an athlete, but as a person ready to tackle any challenge. I'm here on Lemon8 to connect, share, and learn from all of you. It's exciting to build a community where we can all share our passions and daily lives. So, whether you're a fellow dog parent, a grad school survivor, or just someone who loves a good story, don’t hesitate to say hi!
