Hi y’all! A little belated as I’ve already made some posts here but I thought an introduction was in order:
💖 my name is Lizzy, I’m 25, I’m from Texas, and I exist!
💖 I’ve been participating in my area’s local goth and alternative scenes for roughly 5 years, but I’ve only been doing the “being a content creator” thing for a few months after a TikTok of mine went kinda viral + I started making a lot of content creator friends through cosplay.
💖 through some reflection this year I’ve realized my love of gothic fashion, music, makeup, and culture were a response to various traumas I endured and overcame from 2020-2022, and I’m very thankful for the creative outlets and community it has brought me!
💖 I hope to inspire those who like my content to dress and present themselves in whatever way makes them happiest! I find so much empowerment in making myself the canvas for my own art (that being: whatever I put on my body)

✨25 FUN FACTS ABOUT ME✨
1. I’m bilingual in English and Japanese
2. I would describe my “substyle” of goth (ie. Trad, Vampire, Romantic, Cyber, etc.) as Glam Goth!
3. For my day job I am a video editor (at work I feel like Goth Hannah Montana LMAO)
4. Some of my hobbies include dancing, drawing, diy’ing clothes and accessories, listening to music, writing (in theory, not so much in practice), and photo editing
5. Despite being goth I love bright colors and pastels! Sweet Lolita fashion was my first alt fashion love and my apartment is decorated all in pastels
6. I’ve also been a K-Pop fan for 13 years
7. I’ve been to Japan twice (and soon a third time!)
8. I listen to a TON of music, and when it comes to the realm of goth music some of my favorite artists are My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult, Faderhead, KMFDM, Comfort Cure, Pixel Grip, and Aesthetic Perfection. (I am an INDUSTRIAL goth)
9. Despite the above, my all-time favorite band is SHINee and my favorite solo artist is Prince.
10. I also model in gothic fashion shows!
11. My big 3 in astrology are Gemini sun, Cancer moon, and Libra rising.
12. I’ve been a cosplayer for 2ish years, mainly cosplaying Sanrio characters (Cinnamoroll is a favorite!)
13. My favorite animals are cats, Shiba Inu’s, Great Pyrenees’, and chinchillas

15. Someday I’d like to travel to Ireland and South Korea

It's about feeling powerful and beautiful in a way that truly represents *me*. My journey into alternative fashion, especially the goth scene, really began as a response to some challenging times. It became my canvas for processing emotions and reclaiming my identity. It sounds deep, but when you put on a killer black gothic outfit, maybe with some fishnets and bold makeup, it’s not just clothes – it’s armor. It's a statement. This community, my goth community, has been incredibly supportive, fostering a space where self-expression isn't just tolerated, it's celebrated. It's amazing how alternative fashion and the goth community aided my trauma recovery, transforming my style into a source of strength. And speaking of self-expression, DIY is where the magic truly happens for alternative fashion! You don't need a huge budget to create a goth or alt style wardrobe. I love taking thrifted pieces and transforming them. Grab an old denim jacket, some studs, patches, and fabric paint – suddenly you have a unique statement piece. Or try customizing skirts, adding lace to blouses, or even distressing jeans for that perfect edgy look. It’s all about making it yours and inspiring self-expression through style, makeup, and DIY. Don't be afraid to experiment with different textures and layers to build up that signature goth alt style. Remember, the best part of DIY alt clothes is that no one else will have exactly what you have. Makeup plays a huge role in completing any alternative look. I often experiment with different makeup styles, from sharp winged liner and dark lips to more elaborate graphic designs. It's another way to express the mood and vibe of the day. Pair that with some killer accessories – chokers, chunky boots, dramatic jewelry – and you’ve got a full gothic expression that truly embodies your inner world. It's amazing how a few key elements can transform an outfit and elevate your entire aesthetic. Whether you're new to the goth scene or a seasoned alternative fashionista, remember that the most important thing is to wear what makes you feel authentic and empowered. The goth community is incredibly diverse, offering so many substyles from trad to cyber to romantic, and yes, even my own Glam Goth.
