~*the outfit vs. the details*~

I think this kind of video format/trend is so cute, it’s so nice to give ppl a closer look at all the small details of an outfit! (This is originally from my TikTok but with the ban probably happening I feel I may as well repurpose some of them for here!)

✨Outfit Details:

Top: a thrifted sheer lace dress (that I think was actually lingerie) with a sheer flowy sleeved top from Target layered on top

Bottoms: two thrifted skirts layered together

Shoes: Camel-205’s from Demonia Shoes

Accessories: a choker from Spencer’s, a few thrifted necklaces, a corset belt from Hot Topic, and fleece lined tights with cheap ripped up drug store tights layered over, and a fake ponytail I made by buying hair braiding bundles on Amazon (let me know if y’all want a tutorial on how to make and wear them!)

... Read moreIn the world of gothic fashion, the finer details can truly elevate an outfit. The trend of showcasing outfit elements offers a unique perspective on style, emphasizing the importance of each piece. For instance, thrifting can lead to remarkable finds such as sheer lace dresses or unique accessories that reflect personal taste. Layering is a fundamental technique in achieving depth and visual interest in gothic looks. Pairing a sheer, flowy top over a delicate dress not only adds texture but also creates a sophisticated dimension. Layering skirts can enhance the silhouette while allowing for creativity in color and pattern combinations. Don’t shy away from mixing textures; combining lace with knits can yield a stunning effect. Furthermore, accessories play an integral role in crafting the perfect ensemble. Items like chokers, corset belts, and thrifted necklaces contribute to the overall aesthetic, adding character and enhancing individuality. Incorporating seasonal pieces like fleece-lined tights allows for functionality without sacrificing style. If incorporating elements of alternative fashion excites you, experimenting with DIY hair accessories can personalize your look even further. Consider creating faux ponytails from braiding bundles, which are not only trendy but also budget-friendly. Gothic fashion transcends mere clothing; it's a form of self-expression and creativity. Sharing techniques and inspiration within this niche community can foster deeper connections with those who share similar interests. Keep exploring those intricate details that make your outfit uniquely yours!
