Growing a chaos garden….Its chaotic…
This is my 2nd year growing a chaos garden! This year I have doubled the amount of seeds and variety of flowers.
This can be a bit of a stressful process. I plant my seeds in April when the weather breaks here in Ohio then I wait.
Within a few weeks sprouts are emerging. The stressful part is that it’s hard to tell what’s weeds and what’s flowers. I usually weed out what im positive is not flowers and then I’ll wait a few weeks for the plants to mature more. After about a month, I start to get flowers!
The most exciting part is not knowing what kinds of flowers survived and will bloom! Each week a new bunch of flowers will surprise me with bright blooms!
I sometimes will pick the flowers and bring them inside to put them in small bud vases or add them to my house plant propagation stations. I also enjoy pressing the flowers to make arrangements into wall art for my home.
I know it looks like a bit of a mess right now but in a month I’ll have a full over flowing garden with all different colors of flowers!
