Okay, so I just had this incredible gaming session, honestly, 'How my day went as Cody Rhodes part 4' was absolutely wild! I was playing as the American Nightmare in WWE 2K (or WWS 2, as some of us affectionately call it), pulling off Cross Rhodes after Cross Rhodes, leading to some epic WINS. After dominating the ring, my mind started wandering, and that 'Cody Rhodes in Tekken' idea popped back into my head. It's a query I see a lot, and honestly, can you blame people for dreaming? Imagine Cody Rhodes stepping into the King of Iron Fist Tournament! It sounds bizarre on the surface – a pro wrestler in a martial arts tournament – but Tekken has always had unique characters. We've got bears, kangaroos, and even a capoeira fighter. Why not a top-tier pro wrestler with a distinct fighting style? From a moveset perspective, Cody brings a blend of technical wrestling, brawling, and high-flying theatrics. His signature Cross Rhodes would make for an amazing, cinematic Rage Art or Heat Smash. Think about it: a quick setup, a dramatic spin, and then BAM! Opponent down. The Cody Cutter could be a fantastic quick-hit combo ender, maybe even a juggle starter. He's got dropkicks, snapmares, and that classic American Nightmare uppercut. Translating these wrestling maneuvers into Tekken's 3D combat system would be a fascinating challenge for the developers, but I believe it's entirely possible to create a unique and fun character. He wouldn't just be a generic wrestler, either. Cody’s character is built on storytelling and showmanship. His entrance alone, with the grand presentation and the 'Woah!' pyro, would be an incredible spectacle in Tekken. His intros and outros would be filled with his signature poses and confident swagger. He could have unique interactions with characters like King or Armor King, perhaps acknowledging their wrestling prowess, or even a rivalry with someone like Paul Phoenix or Bryan Fury, who are more brawlers. Of course, the chances of an official WWE superstar like Cody Rhodes appearing in Tekken 8 are slim to none. Licensing alone would be a nightmare. But that doesn't stop us, the fans, from dreaming and even creating! I've seen some incredible custom characters in other fighting games that try to replicate his look and style. And who knows, maybe some talented modders out there have already tried to bring him to the Tekken universe. What are your thoughts? If Cody Rhodes were to make a guest appearance in Tekken, what kind of fighting style would he have? Would he be a rush-down character, a grappler, or a balanced fighter? Would his 'American Nightmare' persona translate well to the intense, serious tone of Tekken, or would he bring a much-needed dose of theatrical flair? I personally think he'd be an incredible addition, adding a fresh dynamic to the roster. It's fun to imagine these dream scenarios, especially when you're hyped up from getting those sweet WINS as him in WWE 2K! Let's keep this discussion going!
