Oh the places I’ve been!

I’ve been to quite a few states so far! I need to explore the mid west more lol

Here’s a few notes about some of my favorites!

🗽NY: I live just outside the city, so taking my car downtown to get pictures is always a must so I had to include a pic of the pink assassin down in Times Square! The slide after that is from when I used to go upstate on the weekends, it’s totally different from where I’m from; you can even see the sky is full of stars at night! Something so simple as that blew my mind

🥃TN: My mom and I took a girls trip so she could fulfill her dream of going to Dollywood and visiting popular sites in the surrounding cities of Pigeon Forge! It was a slow pace compared to where I’m from but it was a change I’d be more than happy to indulge in again.

🌴 FL: Going to Florida with my family is a trip we try and make all together at least once a year. We all take a few days off from work and have a fun weekend going to the parks and just enjoying time together away from home under that beautiful sunshine ☀️.

🐻 PA: Pennsylvania is where I like to go when I want peace and quiet and to be alone for a while with myself. Being into cars I end up in the junkyards there which is much more serene than you would think it is lol. The sunsets are beautiful there and it provides an opportunity to get lost with yourself. Sometimes all you need is to be left alone where no one can bother you.

Honorable mentions:

👙CA: I’ve been to California twice so far and I definitely love Santa Monica!!

🎸 OH: I visited Ohio to go the Rock n Roll hall of fame and it was definitely a trip I’d recommend taking at least once!

🏎️ IN: My best friend and I met for the first time in Indiana back in 2016! We’ve been friends since we’re 12 and I’m grateful everyday for her <3

... Read moreIt's so exciting to hear you're looking for adventure! As someone who loves to explore, I totally get that thrill of discovering new places and experiences. My travels across the US have shown me that adventure isn't just about extreme sports; it's about stepping out of your comfort zone, seeing something new, and creating unforgettable memories. Let me share how you can find your own adventure in some of my favorite states, beyond just the popular tourist spots! First up, New York. While I love the energy of Times Square and getting iconic city shots, the real adventure often lies beyond Manhattan. If you're an adventure seeker, you have to explore Upstate New York. It's a completely different world! Imagine hiking through stunning fall foliage, kayaking on pristine lakes, or finding hidden waterfalls. The night sky? Trust me, seeing it full of stars is an adventure in itself, especially if you're used to city lights. You can find challenging trails in the Adirondacks or Catskills, or even try rock climbing. For urban adventurers, even exploring different neighborhoods, unique street art, or diverse cuisines can be a thrilling journey. Then there's Tennessee. My trip there included Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, a fantastic adventure for theme park lovers! But for those craving more outdoor thrills, the surrounding Great Smoky Mountains National Park offers endless possibilities. Think white-water rafting on the Pigeon River, horseback riding through scenic trails, or challenging hikes with breathtaking panoramic views. The Appalachian Trail even runs through parts of Tennessee, offering serious backpacking adventures. It's truly a paradise for nature enthusiasts seeking an active getaway. Florida is often associated with theme parks, which are definitely an adventure in their own right, offering adrenaline-pumping rides and magical experiences. But don't stop there! For a different kind of thrill, head south to the Everglades. Taking an airboat ride through the swamps, spotting alligators and diverse wildlife, is an absolutely wild adventure. You can also snorkel or dive in the crystal-clear springs, or kayak through mangrove tunnels. The sheer variety of ecosystems in Florida means there’s an adventure for every taste, whether on land or in the water. And let's talk about Pennsylvania. I found my peace in the junkyards there, an unconventional kind of adventure for me – finding beauty in unexpected places. But for a more traditional adventure, you absolutely must visit the Poconos. This region is an adventure playground! In winter, it's perfect for skiing and snowboarding. In summer, you can go white-water rafting, zip-lining, hiking, or explore numerous water parks. The Poconos offer beautiful landscapes for outdoor enthusiasts, combining thrilling activities with stunning natural beauty, making it an ideal destination for active nature lovers. Even states like California, with its iconic Santa Monica, offer countless adventures. Beyond the beach, you can learn to surf, hike in stunning national parks like Yosemite or Joshua Tree, or take an epic road trip along Highway 1. Ohio might bring to mind the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, a cultural adventure, but it also boasts incredible natural beauty like Hocking Hills State Park, famous for its caves, waterfalls, and hiking trails – perfect for a weekend of exploration. My biggest tip for adventure seekers? Don't be afraid to look beyond the obvious. Sometimes the most profound adventures are found in embracing the unexpected, getting lost (safely, of course!), or simply trying something new in a familiar place. Each state offers a unique blend of experiences, from quiet contemplation to adrenaline-fueled activities. So pack your bags, do a little research on local hidden gems, and get ready to write your own adventure story!
