... Read moreFrom my own experience, I’ve learned that the most empowering thing you can do in any relationship is to truly choose yourself. There were times when I spent so much energy waiting for someone to respond or make plans, only to realize that the effort was not mutual. It’s crucial to understand that if a person wants to be part of your life, they will make the time and show it through actions—not just words. One of the hardest lessons is accepting that you cannot force someone to care or prioritize you. The saying "A man will ALWAYS do what he wants to do" is very true; actions really do speak louder than words. Instead of feeling hurt or frustrated by delayed responses or cancellations, remind yourself that your value isn't dependent on their availability. Focusing on yourself, your goals, and your happiness can often shift your mindset from feeling rejected to feeling empowered. When you honor your own needs and set standards for how you expect to be treated, you create space for healthier and more fulfilling relationships. Don’t be afraid to walk away or let go if you’re not receiving the respect and love you deserve. Remember, it’s not about playing games or being stubborn. It’s about recognizing your self-worth and refusing to settle for anything less than genuine effort and care. Trusting this will ultimately help you attract the right kind of people into your life—those who actually want to be there and cherish you.
