That means having a great profile picture – like the one you see on my page where I'm chilling at a picnic table – a compelling bio, and making sure all my tracks have proper metadata and artwork. It really makes a difference in looking professional and helping potential listeners discover you. Another game-changer has been utilizing features like 'Artist Pick.' This little gem allows you to highlight a specific track, album, or even a playlist right at the top of your profile. It's a fantastic way to showcase what you want new listeners to hear first, or to promote a new release. I've found that rotating my 'Artist Pick' helps keep my profile fresh and directs attention to my latest or most popular work. It’s like having a billboard on your own page! Getting your music into user-curated playlists and even pitching to Spotify's editorial playlists through Spotify for Artists has also been crucial. It's a grind, but every placement, no matter how small, exposes your music to new ears. I've learned that consistent releases and actively engaging with my small but growing audience helps a lot. Even small things, like sharing my Spotify links on social media and encouraging friends to save my songs, add up over time. While 511 monthly listeners might not make me a 'top artist' just yet, it feels like a significant step on that journey. For me, a 'top artist' isn't just about massive numbers; it's about building a genuine connection with listeners who resonate with your sound. My goal is to keep growing, keep creating, and keep improving my artist profile to attract even more amazing people. If you're a budding musician, keep pushing!
