sketching thru the off days

I have mixed feelings about these sketches. I wasn't feeling too confident in... well, anything today. i have all these big projects im so excited to make in the future, but days like today feel like those dreams are unobtainable. but even with all the weird and floaty feelings, the important thing is that I still managed to create something.

maybe on a better day, a brighter day, I can look back on these and feel happier with them. sometimes taking a little break from your WIP is all you need to come back with a fresh perspective. and these are not terrible to look at, i know that. there's just always an odd heaviness that comes with knowing I can do better. but today, this is all I can do. and that's okay.

i don't really see this talked about a lot, but I know we all experience it, so lets try to help each other out here in the comments: what helps you feel less discouraged when your art doesn't meet your expectations?
