New Orleans Style Dinner

New Orleans Cajun shrimp pasta...

1️⃣ For the Cajun Shrimp Pasta:

12 oz shrimp, peeled and deveined 🍤

6 oz andouille sausage, sliced into rounds 🌶️

8 oz fettuccine or your favorite pasta 🍝

2 tbsp olive oil 🫒

1 tbsp Cajun seasoning 🌶️

2 cloves garlic, minced 🧄

1 cup heavy cream 🥛

1/2 cup chicken broth 🍲

1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated 🧀

Fresh parsley for garnish 🌿

Salt and pepper to taste 🧂

🍽️ Instructions:

1️⃣ Cook the Pasta:

Boil a pot of salted water and cook your pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

2️⃣ Cook the Andouille Sausage:

In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced andouille sausage and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove sausage from the skillet and set aside.

3️⃣ Cook the Shrimp:

In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Season the shrimp with Cajun seasoning and cook until pink and cooked through, about 2-3 minutes. Remove shrimp and set aside with the sausage.

4️⃣ Prepare the Sauce:

In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Let it simmer for 3-4 minutes, then stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy.

5️⃣ Bring it Together:

Return the cooked sausage and shrimp to the skillet, stirring to coat them in the sauce. Toss in the cooked pasta and mix everything together until well coated.

6️⃣ Serve:

Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot with a sprinkle of extra Parmesan if desired.
