Hi! 🤘🏻🦇

I just thought I would introduce myself. Sorry for rambling. 🙃

My name is Lochlan. I am 25 years old. I have one child with the love of my life, and we also have two dogs.

I love everything dark, creepy, mysterious, and gothic. I feel like I was supposed to be born in Scotland. It is a gothic paradise.

I am an aspiring photographer. I also make suncatchers geared towards people who prefer a darker aesthetic. Other than that, I am not very artistic. 😂

Just some random facts...

Ravens, crows, cemeteries, skulls/bones, tattoos, piercings, and gothic architecture are some of my favorite things in life. Oh, and dried flowers as well... They make beautiful decorations. 🥀🖤

I love to listen to The Cure, Three Days Grace, Wednesday 13, The Smiths, Nine Inch Nails, The Misfits, Imminence, Deftones, Tool, Korn, Motionless In White, She Wants Revenge, Bad Omens, Sleep Token, and so much more.

... Read moreLiving a dark aesthetic life isn't just about wearing black; it's a deep connection to mystery, beauty in the unconventional, and a unique way of seeing the world. For me, it's an integral part of who I am, influencing everything from my personal style to my creative outlets. When I think about what makes a 'dark aesthetic girl,' it's about embracing elements often overlooked or deemed 'spooky.' It starts with personal expression. You'll often find me rocking my favorite platform boots and dark ripped jeans, paired with a black top. My dark hair, sometimes with purple streaks, dark makeup, and nose rings, are all part of how I present my authentic self. Tattoos and piercings further allow me to tell my story visually, adding layers to my aesthetic. My home also reflects this passion. Instead of bright, airy spaces, I gravitate towards decor that features elements like skulls, intricately arranged dried flowers, and even artificial flowers or dried herbs to create a moody, atmospheric, and sometimes delightfully spooky ambiance. It’s about finding elegance in the macabre and turning everyday objects into art. Creativity is another huge part of my dark aesthetic journey. As an aspiring photographer, I'm constantly drawn to the beauty of gothic architecture. There's something incredibly captivating about old stone buildings, a towering church tower, or a cobblestone street that speaks to my soul. I love capturing the haunting beauty of these places, finding inspiration in their history and shadows. This passion also feeds into my suncatcher crafting. While suncatchers usually bring light, I love putting a dark twist on them, using unique beads and materials to create pieces that cast beautiful rainbow reflections but still fit a mysterious vibe. It’s a joy to create something that brings light into a space but with a nod to the darker side of beauty. Music plays a massive role in setting my mood and inspiring my aesthetic. Bands like The Cure, Nine Inch Nails, and Motionless In White aren't just background noise; their lyrics and sounds resonate deeply with my love for the melancholic and profound. It’s a soundtrack to my dark aesthetic life. Ultimately, being a 'dark aesthetic girl' is about embracing your true self, finding beauty in the shadows, and expressing it authentically. It's a journey of discovery and creativity, and I'm always excited to connect with others who share this unique perspective. What elements define your dark aesthetic?
