Watch Collection in the works 😩

I’ve got a real problem…

I’m a watch girly on a budget!

I’ve been working with watches on a retail and self-taught level(s) for almost 8 years now and I enjoy what I do…

But it’s made me be such a watch fiend that I think I want to start collecting watches as a real hobby.

My brother’s fiancée works at a pawn shop and someone brought an Aragon in 😱😱😱 originally, that’s a +/-$1,500 watch and they gave the guy $50 for it…. AND HE TOOK IT!!

She reached out to me since I’m somewhat familiar with watches and how to find out more about them, and I saw #’s 9 and 10 sell for $700 and $550 respectively, but I guess because it was a sold-out batch and they could only find bids on them (which is also what I found), they had to go based on their basic tiers for offering prices.

Which I understand but that watch only has 25 in its batch… and they’re only gonna sell it for $200 🙃

She offered to keep an eye on it for me until next week when my paycheck includes my bonus and I’m just gonna go get it if it’s still there… the way I see it, at $200 and potentially the cost to have it buffered to get the natural wear and tear out of it (it looks like it’s mostly in the back), I’ll still be spending a fraction of what it’s worth 🤪🤪🤪🤪

✨So now I’m convinced to start collecting watches to keep on display, both men’s and women’s styles even though I don’t need to haha ✨
