Master Air Waybill or "Main Air Cargo Bill"
Issued by Airline to confirm the receipt of goods from the sender (Export Forwarder) and to the destination receiver (Import Forwarder)
It's like a "cargo plane ticket," so 🎫
📍 important point in MAWB to know!
1️⃣ MAWB Number 👉 Document Number such as 217-5837 1111
→ The first 3 digits tell "airline" (217 = Thai Airways)
2️⃣ Shipper / Export Forwarder 🚚
→ Shifter (source shipping company)
3️⃣ Consignee / Import Forwarder 📦
→ Receiver of destination goods (destination agent)
4️⃣ Airport of Departure & Destination 🛫🛬
→ Start and destination of the flight, e.g.
BKK (Suvarnabhumi) → HND (Tokyo Haneda)
5️⃣ Flight No. & Date 🕒
→ Used to indicate the actual flight, such as TG682 / 05
6️⃣ Freight Prepaid / Collect 💰
→ Indicates whether the goods are pre-paid (Prepaid) or destination paid (Collect)
7️⃣ Nature & Quantity of Goods 📑
→ Product description such as Consolidation or Cargo Manifest

เวลาเจอคำว่า MAWB / HAWB / Airway Bill ในงาน Air Freight ใหม่ๆ มักงงว่า “เอกสารไหนคืออะไร” และต้องใช้ตอนไหนบ้าง เราเลยสรุปแบบใช้งานจริง (พร้อมโยงไปเรื่อง Bill of Lading ที่หลายคนค้นหา) เผื่อเอาไปเช็กงานหน้าเคาน์เตอร์/หน้าจอระบบได้เลย 1) Airway Bill คืออะไร? Airway Bill (AWB) คือ “ใบตราส่งสินค้าทางอากาศ” เป็นเอกสารที่ใช้กับการขนส่งทางเครื่องบิน ทำหน้าที่เป็นหลักฐานว่ามีการรับของเพื่อขนส่ง และมีรายละเอียดเส้นทาง/ผู้เกี่ยวข้อง/ค่าใช้จ่ายสำคัญๆ อยู่ในใบเดียว 2) แล้ว MAWB คืออะไร (Master Air Waybill)? MAWB คือ AWB “ตัวหลัก” ที่ออกโดยสายการบิน (หรือผู้รับจัดการของสายการบิน) เพื่อยืนยันว่ารับสินค้าจากฝั่งผู้ส่ง/ตัวแทนต้นทาง และจะขนส่งไปยังปลายทางตามเที่ยวบินที่ระบุ สิ่งที่เราเช็กบ่อยใน MAWB เช่น - MAWB Number: เลข 3 หลักแรกคือรหัสสายการบิน (เช่น 217 มักเจอกับ Thai Airways) - Airport: ต้นทาง-ปลายทาง เช่น BKK → HND - Flight No./Date: เช่น TG682/05 เพื่อจับคู่กับไฟลต์จริง - Freight Prepaid/Collect: ค่าเฟรทจ่ายต้นทางหรือให้ปลายทางจ่าย 3) HAWB คืออะไร (House Air Waybill)? HAWB คือใบตราส่ง “ย่อย” ที่ออกโดย Freight Forwarder ให้กับลูกค้าแต่ละราย เหมาะกับงาน Consolidation ที่รวมของหลายเจ้าไว้ในไฟลต์เดียว ภาพจำง่ายๆ: หลาย HAWB จะถูกรวมอยู่ใต้ MAWB เดียว (เหมือนรวมพัสดุหลายบิล แล้วไปขึ้นเครื่องภายใต้บิลหลักของสายการบิน) 4) MAWB ต่างจาก HAWB ยังไงแบบสั้นๆ - ผู้ออกเอกสาร: MAWB = สายการบิน, HAWB = Freight Forwarder - มุมมองเอกสาร: MAWB มองเป็น “ก้อนรวม” ที่สายการบินรับไปขนส่ง / HAWB มองเป็น “บิลของลูกค้าแต่ละเจ้า” - ตอนตามของ/เคลม/เคลียร์งานปลายทาง: มักต้องรู้ให้ชัดว่าเคสนี้อ้างอิง MAWB หรือ HAWB 5) บิลออฟเลดิง (Bill of Lading) เกี่ยวไหม? Bill of Lading (B/L) คือเอกสารหลักของ “ขนส่งทางเรือ” ไม่ใช่ทางอากาศ ดังนั้นถ้าเป็นเครื่องบิน ให้คิดเป็น AWB (ซึ่งแตกเป็น MAWB/HAWB) ส่วนถ้าเป็นเรือถึงจะเป็น B/L จะช่วยลดการสื่อสารผิดเวลาคุยกับชิปปิ้ง/ลูกค้า ทริคเล็กๆ ที่เราใช้กันในงานจริง - เวลาลูกค้าถามเลขติดตาม ให้ถามกลับว่า “มี MAWB หรือ HAWB?” เพราะระบบ/ปลายทางบางที่ค้นหาคนละเลข - ถ้าเห็นเป็นงานรวม ให้รีบตรวจว่า HAWB ครบทุกชิ้นก่อน เพราะปลายทางจะรับของตาม MAWB แต่แจกจ่ายตาม HAWB - เช็ก Freight Prepaid/Collect ให้ชัวร์ตั้งแต่ต้น ลดปัญหาเรียกเก็บเงินผิดฝั่งตอนปลายทาง
