Each piercing tells a story, and I’m so excited to share all the details and lessons I’ve learned along the way with you. Let's start with a fan favorite, my belly button piercing. Many of you ask about it, and yes, it's what they call a 'true navel' piercing! This means it's perfectly placed to complement my anatomy, sitting just right. Getting it done was a bit nerve-wracking, but the initial pinch was quick. The real journey began with healing. I quickly learned that aftercare is paramount, especially for a navel piercing. I religiously cleaned it twice a day with a saline solution, avoiding harsh soaps or alcohol. Wearing high-waisted pants or anything that rubbed against it was a no-go for a while, as friction can really irritate a healing piercing. It took a good 6-9 months to feel completely settled, but seeing that sparkle every day makes it absolutely worth it! Moving up to my face, my nose piercings and lip piercings have become such a signature part of my look. I started with a single nostril piercing, and then eventually added another for a balanced, symmetrical feel. For anyone considering nose piercings, choosing the right jewelry is key. Delicate hoops or tiny studs can really enhance your features without being overpowering. My lip piercing, a vertical labret, was a more recent addition and I absolutely adore it. It sits vertically through the lip, creating a unique look that's a bit bolder than a standard labret. Healing for facial piercings can sometimes be quicker than body piercings, but again, diligent cleaning and avoiding makeup or harsh products around the area are crucial. And yes, for those wondering, my tongue piercing is definitely one of my more adventurous choices! The initial swelling was quite something, and soft foods became my best friend for a few days. But once it healed, it became incredibly comfortable and, in my opinion, a really fun way to express myself. I also have several ear piercings, ranging from classic lobe piercings to more intricate cartilage placements, which you can see in some of my photos with large hoop earrings. Each one adds a little something extra to my overall style. For anyone considering starting their own piercing journey – whether it's a new ear piercing, a bold facial piercing, or even a true navel – my biggest advice is to do your research. Find a reputable piercer who practices sterile techniques and prioritizes your safety. Don't be afraid to ask questions about pain, healing time, and jewelry options. And remember, piercings are a beautiful form of self-expression. Embrace the process, take care of your new adornments, and enjoy discovering what makes you feel confident and uniquely you! It truly is an empowering journey.
