I absolutely love getting ready for a big night out, especially when it's a Birthday Glam celebration! There's something so exciting about transforming your everyday look into something truly special. For ages, I struggled with finding the best makeup for party looks that actually lasted and made me feel confident. I wished there was a personalized glam kit that came with a structured routine. First up, Contour and Base. For a party, I really want my features to pop and my makeup to stay put. After my primer and foundation, I go in with a cream contour stick. I apply it more intensely than I would for daytime, focusing on my cheekbones, jawline, and temples. The key is to blend, blend, blend with a damp beauty sponge to avoid harsh lines. Then, I set it with a powder contour to lock it in and add depth. This makes such a difference in photos! For blush, I opt for a vibrant liquid blush and set it with a powder blush for extra staying power and a lovely flush. Next, the Shimmer Eyes. This is where the magic really happens for a party look! If you're not quite ready for a super bold color but still want impact, a strong nude lipstick can be incredibly chic and sophisticated – think a peachy nude or a deeper brown-toned nude. Patting it on with your finger and then adding a gloss in the center can give a lovely plush effect. My top tip for long-lasting bold lips? Apply a layer, blot with a tissue, lightly dust translucent powder over the tissue, and then apply a second layer. It really works! This whole routine, from base to bold lips, takes me about 45 minutes, but it’s so worth it for a special event.
