✍️ Here's how I did it:
My business partner & I purchased a 8x10 backdrop, (pictured above) from our local photography/AV store here in Dallas.
We then went on to our makeshift, 3 point lighting.
Our props for our birthday girl, (glitter, champagne, balloons and backdrops)
& then we worked on covering the lights we didn’t need, whether it be your lights in the apartment/house or covering your blinds.
🗑️ Here's what you need:
Tip 1️⃣: have your reference & inspo ready, before your client arrives, you should be setting up the ambience, lighting and aesthetic.
Tip 2️⃣: take some test shots, & adjust your settings accordingly- this way when your subject arrives it’ll be easy sailing for the rest of the shoot
Tip 3️⃣: always make a list of what you need leading up to the shoot, ie: if you’re doing a baby shower, what props would be fun for your couple? Where is the location? Inside or outside? Are you shooting with the sun high in the air? Or during golden hour?
If there’s a question- write it down!
This saves time.
