Day 45 of 75 Soft Challenge

I am having a day! My head hurts lot I think it’s the new medication the doctor gave me, I tried sleeping in and getting some rest but it’s not helping out too much. I am not as emotional as I was yesterday. I did have a good workout today, I did arms and I can tell you no lifting for me today at work because it will hurt. #75softjourney #75softchallenge #letschat

Read moreReaching Day 45 of any challenge, especially something as demanding as the 75 Soft, often feels like a significant milestone, but it can also be when the initial burst of motivation starts to wane. I totally get it! Those days when you're battling a headache, or just feeling utterly drained, can make you question why you even started. It's during these moments, around the 'soft 45' mark, that true grit is built. When new medication throws a curveball, like giving you a killer headache, it’s crucial to listen to your body while still honoring your commitment. I've found that on days like these, sometimes modifying my workout is key. Instead of pushing for heavy lifts, which can exacerbate a headache or make muscle soreness unbearable, I might opt for a lighter session. Maybe a brisk walk outdoors (which also counts towards my daily movement and often helps with headaches!), some gentle stretching, or a low-impact cardio session. The goal isn't always to break records, but to show up and maintain consistency. Hydration also becomes even more critical when you're feeling under the weather or taking medication – sometimes that relentless headache is just a whisper from your body asking for more water! It's easy to feel emotional or demotivated when physical discomfort strikes. I remember feeling that way yesterday, and even today, the headache was a real challenge. But what helps me push past it is reminding myself of my 'why.' Why did I start the 75 Soft Challenge? What changes am I hoping to see? Sometimes, just focusing on that bigger picture helps shift my perspective from the temporary discomfort to the long-term gains. Another tip for navigating the mid-challenge slump, especially around Day 45, is to celebrate the small victories. You completed your workout despite a headache? That’s huge! You stuck to your diet even when you felt like giving up? Amazing! These small wins compound and build momentum, making the next day feel a little less daunting. It’s not about being perfect every single day, but about being consistent and resilient. And let's talk about the 'no lifting today at work because it will hurt' feeling – that's real! Your body is working hard, adapting, and sometimes protesting. Giving it the proper recovery, including good sleep (easier said than done with a headache, I know!) and nutrient-dense food, is just as important as the workouts themselves. If you're struggling with muscle soreness, gentle stretching or a foam roller can make a world of difference. Ultimately, reaching Day 45 means you've already conquered so much. You're more than halfway there! This period is often where people drop off, so simply persevering through these challenging days makes you stronger, both physically and mentally. Keep showing up for yourself, even when it’s hard. You’ve got this! Think of it as building mental fortitude, which is just as valuable as the physical transformation. The journey on 'soft 45' isn't just about the rules; it's about learning to adapt and grow.

Can someone tell me what 75 soft/hard means? I’ve been seeing it everywhere but nobody is actually explaining it and I’m so lost lol. It sounds like something gross but surely this many people aren’t doing something like that
