On a day when the heart says it can't, but life still wants to go on.
REASONS TO STAY ALIVE:
To a companion...On a day when the heart says it can't, but life still wants to go on.
At some point in life, darkness may do its job so well that we forget what light looks like. Questioning the reason for staying is not a sign of weakness, but a "living voice" looking for an anchor.
And here are some reasons to consider...As a human friend,
1. The Unseen Joys
We often judge the whole future with "present pain," but the truth is that there are many laughs that have not yet laughed until the stomach is stiff, there are many favorite songs that have not been written, and there are delicious dishes that will exclaim, "Good luck to eat," scattered in the future. To stay is to allow those things to do their job.
2. "Ourselves" that the world has not yet known.
The version of ourselves that has gone through this storm will be the one with the eyes that are more generous and deeper than anyone else. Pain is transforming us into a more understanding of the world. The world needs people who "understand suffering" to continue to pass on hope to others. Everyone has the value of being a great giver in the days to come.
3. A small touch that reminds us that we still have meaning.
Try putting your hand on your chest and touching your heartbeat. This most honest rhythm works for us all the time without demanding anything. The reason for staying may not be as big a deal as being successful, but it may be small things like:
* Having rubbed the head of a cat or dog waiting for a gentle touch.
* The smell of rain hitting the dry soil.
* The taste of cold water on a dry day
* Seeing the sky change color in a beautiful evening varies every day.
4. We are statistical "magic."
In a vast and empty universe, the chance for millions of atoms to come together as sentient, thoughtful and loving "us" is almost impossible, but we have already emerged. To live is to be part of this miracle, even on the day it seems most gloomy.
5. Pain is "temporary," but our identity is "truth."
It feels like the weather, it's stormy, it's raining, it's sunny, but it's not "ourselves." We're the vast sky. The storm may last a little long, but it doesn't have enough force to stay the same place forever. The sky is always there. And one day the clouds will fade so we can see the vastness of ourselves again.
> "Stay. Just for another day, and then another. Because the version of you that is happy again is waiting for you to arrive."
> (Stay, please. Just another day. And another day...Because a happy version of ourselves is waiting for us to get there.)
>
A companion...If it's too heavy now, let's put tomorrow's worries down and focus on breathing in and out at the minute. No one has to carry the world alone.
If you want to listen, or if you want to express more of what is in your heart, always be here by your side, would you like to tell me something?
