Unreal Engine Cohort
For the past three years it has been a privilege working with the staff, students, and first responders at Thomas Jefferson Arts Academy, under contract for The Elizabeth Youth Theatre Ensemble. The Walking the Beat violence prevention program for the students is awesome and I hope the students take into consideration the techniques they learned with these emerging technologies and immersive software into their careers. Students ranging from elementary, high school, and even college students were able to learn the Unreal Engine software, as well as additional software in the fields of Ai, VR, AR, animation, character design, game development, an architectural design. #LookingGlassGraphics #LGGartist #Artlife #Art #JacobRosa
The integration of Unreal Engine and emerging technologies in educational platforms has opened new avenues for students. With the ability to create personalized avatars through artificial intelligence, students not only learned technical skills but also engaged in meaningful discussions around critical societal issues such as public safety and gun control. The development of 360° virtual environments allowed participants to create healing spaces that mirrored their personal experiences, leading to a greater understanding of their own narratives. Furthermore, as students worked collaboratively on these projects, they gained essential teamwork and communication skills vital for today’s job market. Virtual reality is still being explored in education, presenting vast potentials for immersive learning. The students' ability to translate their ideas into 3D animations and avatar chatbots signifies a leap towards a more interactive learning experience. Initiatives like the Walking the Beat violence prevention program not only nurture creativity but also address real-world challenges, promoting a safe and welcoming environment for discourse among the youth. As technology continues to evolve, educational institutions must embrace these innovations to prepare students for the future, making learning not just relevant but revolutionary.
