Breakfast and a book 🫶
Book: Witchcraft for Wayward Girls by Grady Hendrix
It’s the 1970’s and a teenage girl, Fern, has found herself pregnant. Her parents do the only polite thing and send her to a home in Florida until her burden has passed and she can come back with no one the wider to her condition. While there her and the girls discover a book of witch craft and use it to bend the school to their will. It’s a story of witchcraft, feminism, slight southern gothic themes, and what Grady Hendrix is known for - teen girl friendships.
My favorite quote so far:
“you’re a witch,”Fern said
“no, dear,” Miss Parcea said. “I’m a librarian”
