God is Fair, Life is Unfair
don’t get the two mixed up.

It's a truth I've had to learn the hard way: God is fair, but life... life can be incredibly unfair. I remember moments, especially after huge losses, when it felt like the rug was pulled out from under me. You look around, see others seemingly sailing smoothly, and then you're left wondering, 'Why me? Why this?' It's a natural human response when life throws curveballs, like losing someone dear, perhaps to something as cruel as cancer, as was mentioned in one of my deep reflections. The pain of missing 'Mommy' or any loved one can be immense, and it feels truly unbearable at times. But here's what I've clung to, and what truly changed my perspective: Don't get the two mixed up. God's character is one of unwavering justice and love. The unfairness we experience in this world isn't a reflection of Him, but a part of a broken world. The beauty of faith, especially through Jesus, is the promise of something beyond this brokenness. It's about eternal life, a hope that transcends the pain of death. When I faced the profound sadness of losing someone, the thought that Jesus hated that death so much he bled and died for our salvation, for eternal life, truly resonated. It showed a love so immense it transforms sorrow into hope. It's okay to acknowledge that you'll miss your loved ones at different times and in different ways throughout your life. That ache doesn't magically disappear, and it shouldn't. It's a testament to the love you shared. But amidst that grief, there's always God's purpose for your life. It might not be clear immediately, and that's okay. His purpose often unfolds in unexpected ways. It’s about continuing to love Him, loving others, striving for growth, getting a good education, developing your talents, and ultimately, making people's lives better. When life feels unfair, instead of asking 'why me?', try asking 'what now?' How can I honor the memory of those I've lost? How can I use my experiences, even the painful ones, to grow and help others? This journey isn't about eradicating all pain or unfairness, but about finding strength and meaning within it, anchored by the unchanging fairness and love of God. Remember, even in the darkest moments, there's a divine plan, a purpose waiting to be embraced. Your life has immense value, and even when everything feels upside down, you can still be a beacon of hope and love.

this made me feel so many emotions. He vocalized that in a good, understanding way. God bless that man.
