Reutilizing cute jars 🫙
#DIY #savingmoney #restockwithme #letschat
I refused to dump these jars, they’re so cute and I found it to be useful to store some stuff.
I washed it thoroughly (more than 3 times until fully cleaned, after washed I wiped it off with alcohol pads.
If you wash it super good it won’t smell like the candle at all.
🫙 I love reusing stuff specially jars!
Tell me, what do you reuse in your house??
You know that moment when you finish a jar of something delicious, and you just can't bring yourself to throw away the cute container? That's me, every single time! I've become a bit of a pro at reutilizing jars, and honestly, it's one of my favorite ways to add a personal touch to my home while also being mindful of waste. Beyond just the basic cleaning tips I shared for candle jars (seriously, those alcohol pads are a game-changer for getting rid of stubborn wax residue and strong smells!), the real fun begins when you start imagining all the possibilities. For food jars, a good scrub with warm soapy water usually does the trick, sometimes with a little baking soda for tougher odors. And for those pesky labels, a soak in hot water with a drop of dish soap often makes them peel right off, or a quick wipe with rubbing alcohol can remove sticky residue. Once they're sparkling clean and dry, what exactly can you do with those lovely glass jars? Let me share some of my go-to ideas that cover everything from practical storage to charming decor! Practical Storage Solutions: For the kitchen, jars are gold! I use them for bulk spices, dried herbs, loose leaf teas, coffee beans, and even homemade granola. They instantly make my pantry look tidier and more organized, and seeing everything clearly through the glass is super convenient. In the bathroom, they're perfect for cotton balls, Q-tips, hair ties, or even small soaps, keeping clutter off the counter and adding a touch of rustic charm. My craft room benefits hugely too—buttons, beads, glitter, paintbrushes, and even tiny spools of thread all find happy homes in repurposed jars. It's amazing how much clearer my workspace feels when everything has its dedicated spot. Creative Decorative Touches: But jars aren't just for hiding things away; they can be beautiful decor elements too! My absolute favorite is transforming them into simple vases for fresh flowers or even clippings from my garden. A few battery-operated fairy lights popped inside a larger jar can create a magical, cozy glow in any room, especially around the holidays or for a relaxed evening vibe. For a more artistic touch, you can paint them (chalk paint works wonders for a matte finish!), wrap them with twine or lace, or even try a simple decoupage technique with pretty fabric scraps or paper. I've seen some incredible terrariums made in jars too – miniature ecosystems that bring a touch of nature indoors. You can even use them to create unique candle holders, adding sand or pebbles at the bottom for stability. Thoughtful Homemade Gifts: Clean jars also make fantastic vessels for homemade gifts. Think layered dry ingredients for cookies or brownies (just add a recipe tag and instructions!), homemade body scrubs, bath salts, or even jams and jellies if you're a keen baker. It’s a personal, sustainable, and budget-friendly way to show someone you care – plus, the presentation is always a hit! The beauty of reutilizing these humble jars is that it encourages creativity and helps you save money, all while reducing waste. Every time I look at a beautifully organized shelf or a charming little vase, I feel a sense of accomplishment. It truly makes a house feel more like a home. What unique ways have you discovered to give your jars a second life? I'd love to hear your ideas!
Pour the wax on paper towels then throw away when cooled! Know also that those jars make great office storage for pens pencils clips etc!!!
