Five Reasons You Should Read My Book Hello, Listen

Are you looking for a perfect book to read for this upcoming spooky season? Maybe a spicy horror that hooks you in from the very beginning? Perhaps, I have the book for you.

I'm going to give you five reasons my readers have told me you should read my book.

1. The prologue is told in the villain's POV. When you first begin to read Hello, Listener you see the lack of love and interest he has for his wife and the beginning stages of obsession he has for his favorite listener: Thalia Smith.

2. It's a realistic horror story. I wrote Hello, Listener as if you were watching a true crime documentary, only you see the POVs of everyone who was involved. It really brings you into the lives of the characters as if you were witnessing a murderer happening in New York City.

3. The diverse characters: I wrote each character as different as I could. Thalia is an edgy firey redhead who works at the local bar: The Neon Rose. Lee is the tattooed bad boy rich male character who vows to never fall in love after his first marriage. Alan is the rich lawyer type who pays attention to every detail and studies each one of his victims until he has his perfect opportunity to make his kill.

4. The spice. If you like your horror mixed with a bit of spice, you'll love this one! I wrote it in a way that it's realistic and weaves its way through the terrifyingly uncomfortable scenes.

5. Finally the plot twist. Once you're already deep into the pages, and into the story, you get hit with a plot twist that a lot of readers didn't see coming.

I hope you enjoy my book, Hello, LIstener and happy reading!

... Read moreIf you’re searching for a horror book that combines intense psychological depth with captivating storytelling, ‘‘Hello, Listener’’ offers a unique experience unlike typical horror novels. The story’s foundation rests on an intriguing villain’s perspective — something that draws readers immediately into the dark mind of the antagonist. This technique shifts the usual narrative, offering insight into obsession and control that adds layers to the suspense. Adding to its authenticity, ‘‘Hello, Listener’’ is grounded in realism. Instead of relying solely on supernatural elements, it is structured like a true crime documentary, which helps readers feel as though they’re uncovering mysteries alongside the characters. This approach amplifies the tension and the feeling that the terrifying events could happen in real life, especially in a bustling city like New York. Moreover, the compelling cast makes this book stand out. Characters like Thalia Smith, the fiery redhead working at The Neon Rose bar, and Lee, the tattooed rich bad boy, create a dynamic and relatable social world. Each character’s distinct personality brings fresh energy to the narrative, making their interactions unpredictable and engaging. Additionally, the blend of horror with a hint of spice adds complexity to the story’s emotional landscape. Realistic romantic tension woven through the chilling plot keeps readers hooked, balancing fear with human vulnerability. Finally, the book features a surprising plot twist that challenges readers’ assumptions. This element of unpredictability is crucial in horror storytelling—it elevates ‘‘Hello, Listener’’ beyond a typical read and invites multiple re-examinations of the story. For those interested in horror books that explore psychological obsession, gritty realism, and multi-dimensional characters, ‘‘Hello, Listener’’ is a gripping pick for your next read. Perfectly fitting for Halloween or any time you want a thrilling, thought-provoking escape, this book promises a layered reading experience that lingers long after you turn the last page.
