Unprecedented times causing anxiety?

Are you struggling with our "unprecedented times"? Yeah...me, too.

St. Johns Wort, Motherwort, and Yarrow are in my tea today. *if you are on prescription medications, please check these herbs for possible interactions prior to consumption.

St Johns Wort should not be used with SSRI meds. It also may speed up the detoxification pathways used by some medications. Motherwort should be avoided if you're on any heart, blood pressure or kidney meds. Yarrow should be avoided if using heart and/or blood thinners medicines. Also, avoid these if you've been diagnosed with kidney disease.

... Read moreIn today’s fast-paced world, many individuals are grappling with anxiety, particularly as we navigate unprecedented times. This increased anxiety can lead people to explore natural remedies, such as herbal teas. St. John's Wort is particularly known for its mood-boosting properties, but it comes with important cautions, especially regarding its interaction with SSRIs and certain medications. Motherwort is another excellent option reputed for its calming effect. However, it is crucial for individuals on heart, blood pressure, or kidney medications to abstain, given its potential side effects. Yarrow, typically used for various health benefits, should be avoided by those on blood thinners or with kidney issues. For safe consumption, always consult with a healthcare professional, particularly if you are on prescription drugs. Additionally, consider incorporating mindfulness practices, exercise, and healthy routines alongside herbal remedies to effectively manage anxiety. Remember, nature often provides ways to support our mental health, but safety must always come first!
