Although this was completely unplanned, I’m so grateful for it. I was very insecure about my face and I would hide behind getting my hair done. This big chop forced me to look at my whole face everyday. And I’ve been forced to learn to love myself as is. The first two weeks were very emotional, I attempted to hide behind wigs but it didn’t last very long. I decided to just embrace it. (Months later now I can wear wigs lol) But I’m happy because deep down I’ve always wanted natural hair, I was always salty my mom permed my hair when I was young. Now I get to watch my hair grow and curls flourish. I’m excited to see what it looks like a year or two from now 😊🩷
