Tops that give off Elder Lesbian vibes #wlw

Good night / Afternoon,
It seems to be feeling later and later with the time change here in Texas. When I was a child I was only introduced to 2 types of lesbians. Hippy lesbian and masculine lesbian.
My aunts made the switch after her husband sadly passed away. She had always dressed very properly. I always admired her because no matter what was said about her by my family she always treated me with the motherly kindness she always had. She was a huge icon to me in my little world because knowing that my entire family and family friends disliked her I loved how she always kept a smile on her face. I appreciated the comfort she always showed in her own skin. No makeup, no purse that felt like some kind of leash, no scratchy clothes. Just comfort. She always looked after her house on her own even before my uncle died. These type of shirts remind me of her.
I still feel as if the business casual kind of up tight top is very lesbian. While searching for my thanksgiving top at the thrift store i took pictures of what i thought were very lesbian pieces that my aunt Suzie migjy wear. Let me know what you think!
Comment other suggestions that may be a dead guve away ❤️👩❤️💋👩🏳️🌈
It's so interesting how we categorize styles, isn't it? When I shared my thoughts on 'Elder Lesbian vibes,' I realized many of you might be wondering, 'What exactly is that vibe?' or even 'Why do I give off lesbian vibes?' It’s more than just a passing trend; it’s often about an authentic, comfortable way of expressing oneself that transcends fleeting fashion. For me, as I mentioned, my aunt was a huge inspiration. Her choice of clothing wasn't about making a statement for others, but about her own comfort and practicality. This is a cornerstone of what many associate with 'elder lesbian vibes' or a classic 'wlw style.' Think less about rigid fashion rules and more about clothes that let you live your life freely. So, what makes up a 'typical lesbian outfit' in this vein? It often starts with quality basics. The button-up shirts I found at the thrift store, for example, aren't just shirts; they're versatile pieces that can be dressed up or down. A classic flannel shirt, perhaps in a blue, grey, red, and yellow plaid, instantly communicates a sense of relaxed comfort and rugged charm. And you can never go wrong with a reliable denim-style button-up shirt – it’s a timeless piece that speaks volumes about an easygoing approach to fashion. Beyond these tops, consider the textures and fabrics. My aunt always prioritized comfort, no 'scratchy clothes.' This often translates to natural fibers like cotton, linen, or soft blends. You might find a light blue, long-sleeved button-up that feels broken-in and soft, or a beige and white vertical striped button-up that offers a clean yet comfortable look. Even a unique piece like a brown collared shirt with snap buttons can fit right in if it feels right and serves a practical purpose. The OCR also picked up some more nuanced pieces like a black long-sleeved top adorned with delicate black lace trim or a sheer black blouse with ruffles. While these might seem fancier, they still fit within the 'elder lesbian' aesthetic if they're chosen for self-expression and comfort, rather than strict adherence to hyper-feminine ideals. It’s about owning your style, whether it’s a simple white linen-blend button-up with a hood or a more elaborate cream-colored, intricately patterned lace button-up jacket. If you're asking yourself, 'Why do I give off lesbian vibes?' it could be because your personal style gravitates towards practicality, comfort, and authenticity. Perhaps you prefer sensible footwear over impractical heels, or you lean towards clothing that allows for movement and doesn't demand constant adjustment. It's often an inner confidence and a genuine comfort in your own skin that shines through your fashion choices, rather than a deliberate attempt to project a certain image. It's about finding pieces like those thrifted treasures – unique, well-made, and comfortable – that truly resonate with *you*. Don't be afraid to experiment and build a wardrobe that reflects your true self.
