crying happy tears rn 💫🪷🍃

There were many things I learned since launching my Etsy in 2023.

1. I like the growth but don’t necessarily prioritize it. I care way more about the fact that I’ve built my own little community of online friends who are amazing and supportive.

2. I’m still really bad at pricing my items tbh. I’m always being told I need to charge more for my work but girl- in this economy? I’m still stuck on the idea that people WANT to buy things from me.

3. The right people will support you. I’ve learned that the more I strayed away from making things I liked to making things I think others would like makes me very sluggish and unmotivated. After all it is a passion, and the closer we are to our personal truths, the better the outcome!

I wish I could hug everyone who has supported my dreams. I went from not being able to not seeing my future and wondering if I’d like to live past 30, to now being excited for the next day and making new things for other people to have! I’m so grateful 😭😭

This experience resonates with many who are navigating the small business landscape. As a creator, it's essential to acknowledge that community support is invaluable. Having friends and followers who believe in your passion makes a profound difference. While pricing can be a daunting challenge, understanding the market and your worth is key. Engaging authentically with your audience allows you to create a loyal customer base that appreciates your work and its value. It's crucial to produce items that resonate with your personal style instead of solely focusing on trends. Passion projects often yield the most authentic and fulfilling results.
