Simple Everyday Skincare Routine (for antiaging prevention and dry skin)
Skin Type&Condition: I have dry skin so I focus heavily on adding/keeping moisture in my skin and trying to prevent wrinkles
Step 1: Rinse face off with water. In the morning its really not necessary to wash your face with soap, especially if you do that in your evening skincare routine. Water is usually just fine, especially if you have dry skin.
Step 2: Apply hyaluronic acid to skin while its still damp. This will help the HA hold that moisture in your skin. Make sure to let it soak in fully before the next step. The one I use is by Good Molecules.
Step 3: Retinol Serum. I use Equate Wrinkle Correcting Serum because it was cheap and had good reviews 😂 I really dont think brand matters, as long as it works for you! Having a retinol is always good for wrinkle prevention because it helps with cell turnover.
Step 4: SPF/moisturizer. You can split this into two steps if you cant find a moisturizer with SPF that you like, but I just started using this Bubble Solar Mate mineral sunscreen which is very nice. Before this i used Collagen Bank with spf, which was also amazing. If you are going to split it into two steps, do moisturizer first then SPF 😁

I start by rinsing my face with lukewarm water to avoid stripping natural oils, which is especially important for dry skin types.
Applying hyaluronic acid serum while the skin is still damp is a game changer because it locks in moisture very effectively. The Good Molecules Hyaluronic Acid Serum has worked wonderfully for me by providing deep hydration without feeling heavy or sticky. Waiting a few minutes allows it to soak in properly before layering the next product.
For wrinkle prevention, a retinol serum is essential. I use an affordable option, similar to the Equate Wrinkle Correcting Serum, which supports skin cell turnover and helps improve texture and fine lines over time. Retinol can sometimes be irritating, so I recommend starting with a small amount and gradually increasing usage as your skin builds tolerance.
Sunscreen is non-negotiable in the morning routine. A mineral sunscreen like the Bubble Solar Mate offers broad-spectrum protection while being gentle on dry, sensitive skin. If you prefer, you can apply a moisturizer first to add extra hydration and then layer the sunscreen on top. This step keeps your skin protected from UV damage, a major factor in premature aging.
Overall, the combination of hydrating with hyaluronic acid, treating with retinol, and protecting with SPF makes for a balanced routine that addresses dryness and helps minimize wrinkles. Remember, consistency is key, and tailoring your products to your skin’s needs will yield the best results. My skin feels more plump, smooth, and resilient with this regimen — a simple yet effective way to care for your skin every morning.
