What’s In My Bag-Hockey Mom Edition

After having hot chocolate spilt on my original bag and ruining it, I switched to a Bogg Bag and it’s a total game changer. I can fit all of my stuff, plus my rink rats stuff in it and if someone spills hot chocolate, I can just wipe it off.

My typical must have I keep in my bag for hockey are rechargeable hand warmers, portable charger, a good chapstick, hand sanitizer, travel tissues, Tylenol, gum, colored pens, a tumbler for water or iced coffee, and of course a bag with snacks!

To keep everything organized, I use storage pouches that can just be thrown in the bag!

The Bogg Bag mentioned is a real lifesaver due to its water-resistant and easy-to-clean surface, making it perfect for spills like hot chocolate or snow slush that are inevitable around hockey practices. One personal tip is to invest in rechargeable hand warmers, which are a game changer on chilly arena benches. They keep both me and my kids comfortable, letting us focus on the excitement of the game rather than the cold. Pairing these with a trusty portable charger ensures that your phone stays powered, perfect for keeping up with team messages or snapping photos and videos. Organizing with storage pouches can’t be overstated. I use multiple pouches to separate items like snacks, first-aid essentials (including Tylenol), and hygiene products like hand sanitizers and tissues. Colored pens have surprisingly been helpful for jotting down game notes or schedules on the fly. Always having a tumbler handy for water or iced coffee helps keep hydration steady through long days at the rink. Plus, snacks are a must—not just for the kids but for any adult who might be running around managing gear and transportation. From experience, these essentials make hockey days more manageable and enjoyable. Every hockey mom’s bag may vary slightly, but these core items enhance preparedness and peace of mind amidst the bustling sports schedule.
